I've just done them each in a different online space. I realize I'm going to always throw myself into several different directions. I wonder if I can create enough drive and organization in myself to do everything I want to. It's all about spending less time staring at walls, I feel like I'm remedying this right now.

I think a totally new body in which to live in would be it. Lush forests, totally different way of life. More of an adventure I think than the normal life here.

Saturday at 10:30, seeing Avatar. IMAX and 3D. This is going to be awesome.

From three of my favorite movies. Pretty much the order in which I thought of them.

"Give me a scotch. I'm starving." - Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) in Iron Man
It's just Stark's character up and down ...and Downey delivers it so well, I never thought I would really like Stark, but he was played so well I think I'd easily go for a roll in the hay.

"She's starting to damage my calm." - Jayne Cobb (Adam Baldwin) in Serenity
"I am a leaf on the wind - watch how I soar. " - Hoban 'Wash' Washburn (Alan Tudyk) also Serenity
Both of these from Serenity but for different reasons. The first because Jayne's character is just plan hilarious and makes me think about the humor in the thing as a whole, or at least the situations they get themselves stuck in. The second because it makes me think of just how epic the film is as a whole. The whole combination of the genres of sci-fi, horror and western is crazy good and no one could do what Joss did with that idea. Damn fox for killing the series but yay for the movie.

It sums up The Joker in a way that is just the real-world version that fractures the slapstick, Hammel-voiced cartoons I remember from my youth. Ledger did such a fantastic job. He is missed.

There it is. I messed up because I didn't get a better image of it. Or an image of me, MC Lars and the painting. I also didn't bring a real camera with me. But I did get a hoodie from MC Lars that says "SKA IS NOT DEAD" on the back. Hell Ya. I think the ringing in my ears has finally disappeared. Also, KFlay, who was also there. Great. Really good. Makes me wish I had a little bit more confidence about attempting to make music.

Painting I was freaking out about is done. I decided on the idea last night after convincing myself there is no way I can fabricate a robot via drawing that won't just look like something I've already seen. I'm pretty proud of what I knocked out and realized I really found a quick way of painting that people do like. I actually had someone interested in buying the other work I did in this style when it was up at the gallery at MCC. I was then too much of a stickler to let something like that go. I'm more willing to let it go now.

I'll be taking a higher quality image of it tomorrow and posting it eventually. I'm now nervous about actually meeting MC Lars. Do I call him Lars or by his real name? Do I try to explain why I did what I did art-wise or do I just let him take it in and hope it doesn't get that 'wtf is this?' reaction gifts can sometimes get. I just hope I don't have to carry it around for the whole show... also that he doesn't just call me up on stage to give it to him. Though, admittedly, that would be cool. I just don't want to seem like an uber-fan. I just like his music, and I honestly don't know all of it.

I am going to wrap it up a little bit though. The show is WBER's Christmas show so it'd be a little fitting. That and I don't want to carry an obvious painting around. I wish I had at least taken some normal paper from my old place of employment when I visited it today. I think having it actually wrapped up in Christmas paper would be more humiliating than actually having my art out.

A supposed 12 more minutes of work. Looks like the game will end just in time.

So I just bought my ticket to see MC Lars Saturday. It'll be so nice to go out to a show since the last one I was at was Flogging Molly back in March. I had sent MC Lars a Google Wave a couple weeks ago letting him know that I was going to be bringing a piece art to give him to his show. He didn't respond. Last night I try putting something together and all my ideas seem way like they were stolen directly from my friend, Thom Foolery either in style or concept, not to mention the whole idea of giving a musical act some of your own art as a business card of sorts is totally a page taken out of his book. So I scrapped even doing the idea cause I felt like I was copying him too much. Moving on to today, I look at my Wave account and he (Lars) responded with "That would be so dope!! Can't wait to see you."

That's what I get for leaving it to the last second and then figuring eh, he's too busy to even know I'd be there with it. But now he knows and is expecting me. And I have nothing done! This wouldn't worry me too badly but I have to work tomorrow night and pretty much all day right up to the show itself on Saturday.

I'm so going home and scribbling something out that's decidedly me and going to be putting pen/ink/paint to paper all night. I've got to come up with something kickass.

I've already fixated on "This Gigantic Robot Kills" being the focus but I have never drawn a robot and the whole idea of doing something that foreign to me artistically is freaking me out. Also, the fact that the song has MC Bat Commander on as vocals makes me think about the whole stealing-idea-from-Thom thing again and I want to avoid even that little bit of mimicry.

No futzing around the rest of the week! Shit to do!
